KNPO'S report from the MWC trade show

The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona was an excellent place to launch our "SIM initiative, a bright idea" campaign.

SIM card producers and global telecom operators were thrilled and supportive about KNPO's initiative. KNPO had several constructive meetings with global leaders and key companies within the telecom industry, such as Telefónica, Telenor, AT&T, Vodafone, Orange, Deutsche Telekom, Giesecke & Devrient, Gemalto, Oberthur and Morpho...

I am really inspired by KNPO’s project! Its’s a great initiative!
— Murilo Vargas, Brazilian Manager, Gemalto
I think KNPO have a brilliant and scalable concept to solve this global problem
— Johanna Staaf, Director New Ventures, Telenor
This idea to utilise the SIM card as reflector to save pedestrians sounds great
— Axel Schmidt, Senior Product Manager, Giesecke & Devrient

By transforming millions of physical SIM cards into safety reflectors we recycle plastic and start a global road safety campaign reaching out to the world's population by using existing production and distribution channels.

The concept is simple – instead of just disposing of the credit card sized plastic when the small SIM card portion has been removed, KNPO proposes to use the card as an easy-to-use and efficient reflector to be used for increasing road safety.

Spring will be hectic for KNPO. We have several follow-up meetings and the launch of a pilot in the near future. We know we are passionate about making the roads a safer place but were positively surprised at one or two very big companies' deep engagement in our cause.

Soon we can reach out to the world's population with global partners!

KNPO solutions are global, simple, effective, environmentally sustainable and non-disruptive. Our goal is to reduce the number of deaths and injuries in traffic through education using smart and effective actions in collaboration with partners.
