Over the last years, touch screens have become fairly standard in many new high- and mid- range cars, they’re dangerous!
The problem? Manufacturers didn't really go about it right. Rather than seizing the opportunity to design something entirely new around touch, they just took all of the physical, old pressable buttons they once splayed across the dashboard and placed them onto a touchscreen. It is an unconscionable truth that many cars now require users to dig through several menu layers to tackle these simple tasks, which used to be blind knob or button-based operations.
