4th is the deadliest day on the road

Recently it was the Independence Day, statistics compiled by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) shows July 4 is now the deadliest day on the road for Americans and car crashes are the number one cause of death for people ages 1 to 34.

The IIHS reports that based on the latest data, from 2007 to 2011 about 670 people were killed in traffic accidents on July 4 for an average of 134 deaths on that day each year.  Teens crash four times more often than any other age group and accounted for six percent of the driving deaths on July 4.
